We
are delighted to inform you that the MYBA Board, after considering
input from the MYBA Membership and the MYBA Charter Show Panel as well
as the broader audience that is impacted by the Show, has reached its
decision concerning the venue that will host the 2025 MYBA Charter Show.
It will be Portosole Marina which is located in San Remo.
Which means that the Show will have come full circle, returning to the very first place it was hosted.
Before
we delve deeper into details about the next Show, we would like to
extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Pesto Sea Group and Marina Molo
Vecchio for making the return of the event to Italy such a memorable
one. It was a great Show and the result of hard work and dedication from
our 2024 Show managers. The decision for the move was largely based on
the need for more berths as demand was high this year and, by all
indications, will remain so. So it is important that the Show has the
space it needs to expand.
Raphael
Sauleau, MYBA President, expressed the Association’s gratitude when he
said: “Deciding between the marinas has not been easy, as both offer
excellent facilities and professional teams to host the MYBA show.
However, after much consideration, we have reached a consensus to host
our 2025 show at Portosole – San Remo. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank the City of Genoa, marina management, and the Pesto
Sea Group for their support in making the 2024 MYBA Charter Show a
success. We look forward to welcoming our Members and attending yachts
in San Remo from April 28th to May 1st, 2025.”
Gunes
Aysun, Chair of the MYBA Charter Show Panel, reiterated by saying “We
are thrilled to announce that the 2025 MYBA Charter Show will be hosted
in the beautiful city of San Remo, Italy. Known for its stunning marina
and vibrant atmosphere, we think that San Remo will be the perfect venue
for our next Show, promising to deliver an unforgettable experience for
all attendees. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to
the City of Genoa, marina management and the Pesto Sea Group for the
successful and memorable 2024 MYBA Charter Show. They have set a high
standard, and we look forward to building on this success in San Remo.”
Fabio
Pesto responded by stating: “We want to thank MYBA for choosing Genoa
as the 2024 venue. We knew it was going to be a challenge. After years
abroad, important changes within our industry, and the pandemic, we
couldn’t take it for granted that the Show would be a success. Indeed,
it has been one of the most successful Shows, especially when referring
to brokers and yacht attendance. I would personally like to thank the
Marina Molo Vecchio and Pesto Sea Group teams for their commitment and
for having confirmed that our Marina is among the best locations to host
important events such as the MCS. We are very proud of the results
achieved and we also take this opportunity to thank the Genova for
Yachting Association, the Mayor, and the whole city that
enthusiastically welcomed the event back. We wish MYBA many fruitful
future events and look forward to seeing you where the Show began many
years ago!”
We look forward to welcoming everyone at Portosole!
Kind regards,
The MYBA Board
