Waterjet
Waterjet tools are excellent for cleaning tanks and cutting, a clear advantage to have onboard. Waterjets as an alternative to a propeller have also, in the areas of speed and maneuverability, shown remarkable results. A waterjet driven boat would seem, for example, the perfect vessel for Port Authorities. A craft mostly travelling at 20 knots or less, however, will perform better with a propeller than a waterjet system.
