Watermakers - Desalination
In the Yachting world the term watermaker is commonly used rather than desalinator. Desalination, removing the salt from seawater for use on board, is extremely popular for obvious reasons and watermakers are much in demand. Although progress has been made in the efficiency and power consumption of watermakers, the fact remains that they are still expensive to buy and not very environmentally friendly.
